ABOUT THE TOUR

1916 was a pivotal year in Irish history and various local characters were front and centre of its momentous events at home and abroad. This fascinating 5-star rated historical walk in East Belfast brings together, in a single tour, some of the most remarkable and lesser-known stories of the Easter Rising and the Battle of the Somme.

The tour costs £10 per person. A £7.50 Student ticket is available upon production of student ID.

The tour lasts for approximately 2 hours.

Starting point for the 1916 tour is East Side Visitor Centre, 402 Newtownards Road.
